Final Fantasy 14's huge free trial lands on Nintendo Switch 2 today

Square Enix's beloved MMORPG has officially made its debut on a Nintendo console, launching for the Switch 2. VGC reports the port arrives alongside a 30% discount on the Complete Edition, though the real deal might be the free trial.

Eurogamer notes that the Switch 2 port was announced just at the end of June, making for a surprisingly fast turnaround. As Kotaku eagerly reminds us, the famously expansive free trial is available, meaning you can jump in without a purchase.

A word of warning from the reports: that generous trial comes with a massive storage footprint. Eurogamer points out you'll need a hefty 117GB of free space to download it.
