Final Fantasy VII trilogy recap trailer drops ahead of final chapter
Square Enix debuted a new trailer recapping the entire Final Fantasy VII Remake saga over the weekend. According to Nintendo Life, the video premiered during a PAX West 2026 panel for the upcoming final installment, 'Final Fantasy VII Revelation.'
The panel featured director Naoki Hamaguchi and battle director Teruki Endo, who discussed the series' journey. They shared new information about the last game, such as revealing additional characters who will join the party and explaining the FITS gameplay system.
Hamaguchi later posted the trailer on social media, thanking fans for their support. He called the panel a wonderful experience and encouraged everyone to stay excited as the release approaches.
The trailer also reconfirmed the game's launch date. Per the report, Final Fantasy VII Revelation is scheduled to hit all platforms, including the Switch 2, on April 8, 2027.
Square Enix also plans a Story Expansion Pass for post-launch content. Two major additions are slated to arrive between winter 2027 and spring 2028.
