Final Fantasy XIV Evercold expansion delayed by four weeks to late February

The next Final Fantasy XIV expansion is arriving a little later than planned. IGN reports that Evercold, originally slated for January 2027, will now launch on February 23, 2027.
Players with early access can jump in on February 19. The four-week delay and new date were announced alongside a full trailer at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest in Japan.
The event also provided new details. Pre-orders for the expansion will open on November 4, 2026, with bonus items to be revealed later.
A second new job for the expansion was shown: a ranged DPS class called Zephyr, which uses a crossbow and commands a bird companion. The expansion will also introduce a new Tank Job called Bastion.
Evercold will feature crossover raid series with Neon Genesis Evangelion and Final Fantasy VII, alongside a new world and main story. The expansion will launch alongside the game's version 8.0 update.
