The next chapter of the Pennywise saga is shaping up to be a brutal history lesson. Co-creator Andy Muschietti told Variety that the writers' room for 'It: Welcome to Derry' season two is now open for business.
Muschietti revealed the upcoming season will not shy away from the 'horrible' cultural themes of the 1930s. He called these dark elements the 'heart of our story,' signaling a period-piece dive into the era's terrors.
Horror fans are still waiting for the return of Bill Skarsgård's iconic clown, but it sounds like Derry's real-world horrors will be just as central to the plot.
