Mahershala Ali confirms he has left the MCU's Blade movie
The MCU's long-awaited Blade movie has officially lost its star. Per JoBlo, Mahershala Ali has confirmed he is out of the vampire-hunting role after years of delays and development hell.
Ali reportedly said he has "moved on" from the project, which Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige once admitted he felt was a failure on his part. The news seems to be the final nail in the coffin for this particular take on the Daywalker.
Kotaku put it bluntly, declaring that without Ali, there's simply no reason to see a Blade movie anymore. The outlet lamented Marvel's massive fumble in losing the two-time Oscar winner attached to the project.
