Nightdive confirms new Thief Remastered campaign with a cheeky teaser
Nightdive Studios has made it official. According to reports from Eurogamer and PC Gamer, the studio confirmed The Tarnished Mirror, a brand new campaign coming to the remaster of Thief: The Dark Project.
The news follows a leak from a massive Steam achievement dump that spoiled the surprise days earlier. Nightdive responded with a self-aware teaser video that poked fun at the situation.
The trailer, spotted by PC Gamer, shows a flurry of posts speculating about the leak. It ends with new key art of protagonist Garrett and a logo for The Tarnished Mirror. The video promises a full reveal is set for November 2nd.
A voice line from Garrett in the teaser says, "Huh...not so secret anymore, is it?" PC Gamer notes the line appears to be pulled from the original game, not a new recording.
Nightdive has not detailed what the new campaign entails. The studio first announced the Thief remaster earlier this year, pledging enhanced visuals, modernized controls, and high frame rate support.
