The new trailer for Zach Cregger's 'Resident Evil' movie dropped, but the version on PlayStation's YouTube channel is being hijacked by angry gamers. According to GameSpot, the comments are full of jokes and references slamming Sony's plan to phase out physical game discs by 2028, turning a movie promo into a protest zone.
Director Cregger is also addressing fan chatter about the film's creative choices. He told GameSpot he's setting his adaptation in the present day, explaining why the story features snow and smartphones despite 'living in the world' of 'Resident Evil 2'.
