Sandra Bullock Recalls Being Asked to "Drop My Pants" in Early Auditions
Sandra Bullock opened up about the grim side of early-career auditions in a new interview.
Speaking with Jennifer Aniston for Interview magazine, the Oscar winner recalled a time in New York when she was "auditioning for every pervert that existed," per The Hollywood Reporter. She said those casting directors would ask her to "drop my pants."
"I was like, 'Nope, not the role for me,'" Bullock said, according to the outlet. She described the mindset of a struggling actor, taking what you can get, but drew a line at those requests.
Bullock told Aniston that the only other time she was truly intentional was when she deliberately stepped away from romantic comedies. She said she took criticism for them and pivoted to a role in the film "Crash."
The actress is currently starring in "Practical Magic 2," which hit theaters last Friday. The Hollywood Reporter notes the film is her first big screen appearance in four years.
