Sniper: No Nation Blasts Onto HBO Max Global Charts
The latest installment in the long-running Sniper franchise has found a target on HBO Max. According to MovieWeb, Sniper: No Nation has shot onto the platform's global streaming charts, landing as the sixth most popular movie worldwide.
The film, directed by Trevor Calverley, runs a brisk 95 minutes. It sees the return of Tom Berenger as Thomas Beckett, who teams with his son Brandon, played by Chad Michael Collins. Their mission is to escape deadly mercenaries and clear their elite unit's name after it is framed for a false flag operation.
Per the report, the movie is described as pure, unabashed action, full of explosions and cringey one-liners. It's not aiming for awards, but for a specific kind of direct-to-streaming thrills.
The film is also available to stream on Netflix. Its arrival on HBO Max, however, is what has propelled it into the platform's top ranks, currently sitting behind titles like Practical Magic and Supergirl.
