Stars Hollow is back as HBO Max confirms a new Gilmore Girls documentary

The fast-talking residents of Stars Hollow are officially returning. HBO Max has greenlit a new documentary project celebrating Gilmore Girls, per reports from multiple outlets including Variety and Collider.

This isn't a new season, but a documentary film currently in production. It will feature creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and star Lauren Graham, according to TheWrap. The project promises never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with key cast members.

ScreenRant notes the documentary marks the 25th anniversary of the beloved series' premiere. The news comes roughly a decade after Netflix's revival miniseries, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, brought the show back to screens.
