Supergirl's box office run ends, failing to beat Morbius
The Supergirl movie has officially crashed out of theaters, and the final numbers are brutal. Per JoBlo, the DC film's total box office take didn't even manage to surpass the infamous 2022 flop Morbius, let alone the more recent Joker sequel.
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav was asked about the future of DC Films in the wake of this bomb. According to TheWrap, Zaslav insisted that "DC looks very good" and claimed the studio has "a robust pipeline."
The promise of future projects does little to distract from the financial reality of this latest superhero outing, which has clearly underperformed on a galactic scale.
