The Walking Dead universe lands on Netflix and AMC+ in $500 million deal
The zombie horde is doubling its streaming homes. A massive new $500 million pact will bring the entire Walking Dead universe to both Netflix and AMC+ starting in 2027, per Variety.
The five-year, co-exclusive deal covers the original flagship series and all six of its spinoffs, according to reports. This means fans will finally have a one-stop shop for the sprawling undead saga, but they'll have to wait a few years for the horde to shuffle over.
AMC Global Media brokered the lucrative licensing agreement, which locks down global streaming rights for the franchise. It's a major win for Netflix, securing a hugely popular library, while AMC+ keeps its signature property in-house.
