Tomb Raider 2027 Remake Gets New Action-Packed Trailer
A fresh look at the upcoming Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis remake has dropped, per Polygon. The new footage debuted during a 30th-anniversary event for the franchise.
The trailer spotlights key environments from the 1996 original, including ancient ruins across multiple continents and the lost city referenced in the game's title. It also shows off classic moments, like Lara Croft battling monstrous creatures and facing a golden curse.
Game director Raul Siquera explained a new 'Focus' mechanic this summer, which allows players to slow time and unlock more of Lara's acrobatic combat moves. The remake will also add skill trees and crafting systems, confirming it is not a straight one-to-one recreation.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is scheduled for release on February 12, 2027, for Nintendo's next console, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Pre-ordering the game will offer an alternate costume based on Lara's look from the more recent Survivor trilogy.
