Wednesday Creators Tease Jenna Ortega and Winona Ryder's Season 3 Reunion

The showrunners for Netflix's "Wednesday" have teased the upcoming dynamic between stars Jenna Ortega and Winona Ryder in the show's third season. In an exclusive interview with ScreenRant, creators Al Gough and Miles Millar shared a few details.

Miles Millar confirmed that Ryder, who plays Tabitha, will share the screen with Ortega's Wednesday Addams throughout the new season. "She's obviously on screen with Jenna. Yeah. So she's part of the world, but that's all we can say," Millar stated.

The duo expressed excitement about reuniting actors from director Tim Burton's past projects. In addition to Ortega and Ryder, who worked together on Burton's "Beetlejuice," season 3 will also feature Eva Green as Ophelia. Millar called it "amazing" to see these icons of Burton's career together in one project.

Gough and Millar also discussed the creative freedom of expanding the Addams Family lore, comparing it to their work on "Smallville." Gough noted that, unlike Superman, there was less established backstory for the Addams Family, allowing them to build out the world and characters with their own spin.

According to the report, filming wrapped in September and post-production is currently underway. Netflix is reportedly eyeing a 2027 release for the new season. While plot details are scarce, the story will see Wednesday Addams heading to Paris, possibly on a quest to find her missing friend Enid following the season 2 finale.
