Witchbrook's Magical School Finally Opens Its Doors in January 2027

After a famously long development, the cozy magic school life-sim Witchbrook finally has a release date. According to PC Gamer and Chucklefish's announcement, the game will launch on January 28, 2027.
The developers at Chucklefish and Robotality thanked fans for their patience in a statement reported by PC Gamer, saying they took extra time to create a game they are "truly proud of." They described the project as a "handcrafted experience" with detail poured into every pixel.
Kotaku reports the date was revealed during a Nintendo Indie World showcase, confirming the game is also coming to consoles. Push Square notes it will be available on PS5.
The game, often described as a magical take on Stardew Valley, will let players attend classes, pass witch exams, start a business, and build friendships or romances with other characters. PC Gamer reports it will cost $25 on Steam, with physical editions planned for after launch.
This marks the first concrete release date for a project that has been in the works for roughly a decade, after previous target windows were missed.
