Wuchang: Fallen Feathers sequel rises from the ashes at creator's new studio
A sequel to the soulslike hit Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has been officially confirmed, per multiple outlets, despite recent turmoil at its original developer. The game's original director and creative director, Xia Siyuan, is back at the helm, but not with the old team.
Previous reports, cited by IGN and VGC, claimed that developer Leenzee had disbanded and that Siyuan had been fired. According to Rock Paper Shotgun, the sequel is now being developed at Siyuan's new studio, named Indolphinity, with 505 Games as the publisher.
The move suggests a fresh start for the IP, which reportedly saw internal drama after the first game's launch last year. The original team at Leenzee will not be involved in the new project, Kotaku notes.
