Winter. Hawkins. 1985. Welcome back to a town crawling with secrets, where beloved heroes are facing fresh mysteries... and an all-new breed of strange.

Most people are enjoying this return to Hawkins, thanks largely to the show's killer 80s visuals and a soundtrack that absolutely nails the vibe. The main cast's voices, especially Dustin's, land well and keep the connection to the "beloved heroes" strong, but the core story and new elements feel a bit unoriginal to some. A vocal minority really dislikes the new character Nikki Baxter and the "Snowshark" monster, and creator Eric Robles gets a lot of specific criticism, which drags down the overall reception.

The trend appears once there are a couple of scoring runs to compare.
How much people are talking about this show: reactions counted per day they were posted. Gold dots mark days a new episode aired.
