When novelist Ohm Bauman retreats to a remote inn to scatter his parents' ashes, he is consumed by tales of a witch haunting the honeymoon suite. Disturbing visions and a shocking disappearance forces him to confront dark corners of his past.

People are digging this atmospheric horror flick for its killer visuals and a reliably solid performance from Adam Scott as novelist Ohm Bauman. The story itself — a grieving writer confronting a haunted inn and his own past — gets a more mixed reception, with quite a few finding the plot a bit thin and the pacing off. Still, the creepy mood and director Damian McCarthy's clear vision mostly win out, making it a decent, if familiar, spooky watch.
