The film
When novelist Ohm Bauman retreats to a remote inn to scatter his parents' ashes, he is consumed by tales of a witch haunting the honeymoon suite. Disturbing visions and a shocking disappearance forces him to confront dark corners of his past.
Most people are into this creepy, witchy mystery from director Damian McCarthy. Adam Scott is solid as the novelist Ohm, who gets more than he bargained for at a remote inn, but the character himself doesn't really click with viewers. The real star is the atmosphere, with visuals that are getting huge praise, even if the story's pacing drags things down a bit for some. There's also a surprising amount of love for the humor, especially for a character named Jack the Jackass.
