The film
After a young couple witnesses a gruesome highway accident, they soon realize they did not leave the crash scene alone, as a demonic presence called the Passenger that won't stop until it claims them both turns their van life adventure into a nightmare.
Most reactions to this road trip horror are negative, with people calling the story of a couple haunted by a demonic "Passenger" after a crash completely unoriginal and poorly executed. The monster itself is talked about a lot, but mostly for being a generic, unscary villain. A few found some dark humor in the premise, and Lou Llobell's performance as Maddie got some mild praise, but it's not enough to save the film from feeling like a forgettable, by-the-numbers nightmare.
