The real review
This is a rough ride for most, but it does look great. Katie Cassidy as Sister Lu gets a fair amount of praise for her committed performance, while William H. Macy’s Father Novak leaves many underwhelmed. The core hook — a nun performing an exorcism on a runaway train — gets slammed for its paper-thin story and sluggish pacing. It’s a visually slick film where the style far outpaces the substance.
