Aardman's Shaun the Sheep Gets His Own Halloween Movie in 2026
The studio behind Wallace and Gromit is diving back into spooky season. Per an exclusive from Collider, Aardman Animation has unveiled Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, a feature-length Halloween adventure hitting cinemas in September 2026.
This marks the first full-length Halloween film from the studio since 2005's The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Directors Steve Cox and Matthew Walker are helming the project, with a script from Mark Burton and Giles Pilbrow.
The plot, per a synopsis, kicks off when the Farmer accidentally ruins the flock's Halloween pumpkin patch. Shaun attempts a scientific fix, but his experiment goes wildly wrong, leading to the Farmer's disappearance and a mysterious creature stalking the local woods.
The voice cast includes returning star Justin Fletcher as Shaun, alongside John Sparkes, Kate Harbour, and Paul Whitehouse. The film will feature original music by Natalie Holt.
Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom is scheduled for a theatrical debut on September 18, 2026.
