The series was pulled from the streamer's schedule on September 23, 2025, just three days before its planned September 26 premiere. The outlet reports the company "gotten cold feet" about the topical thriller following a real-world event that September.
That event was the September 10 assassination of a far-right activist, as reported by Variety. The new 2027 release date notably falls after the November midterm elections.
Apple TV has not provided further details on why the show was delayed or any potential changes to its content. The streamer had previously kept the project's status quiet after its abrupt removal last year.
