Assassin's Creed Valhalla finally adds New Game+ six years after launch

Better late than never, Ubisoft is finally giving Assassin's Creed Valhalla a New Game+ mode, per IGN. The update arrives November 5, a full six years after the Viking RPG first launched in November 2020.
The new mode will include an optional progression system, new runes, fresh achievements, and a stash. Ubisoft is also adding a material called Mithril for powering up legendary equipment.
In a blog post, the publisher also teased more updates for the aging title. According to IGN, Ubisoft promised more details in patch notes and mentioned "current-generation console updates" are on the way, which could point to visual enhancements for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Push Square notes this patch comes over three years after what was billed as the game's "final" update in February 2023, calling it the "most requested addition" from players.
