The director of the shelved 'Coyote vs. Acme' says its Comic-Con debut proved the fight to save it was worthwhile. Variety reports that Dave Green and star Lana Condor spoke after showing the Looney Tunes legal comedy to fans in San Diego.
Green noted he would never have believed such a screening was possible back in November 2023. That's when Warner Bros. Discovery infamously shelved the completed film for a tax write-off, sparking major backlash.
Condor echoed the sentiment, saying the fan reaction showed 'the fight was for a good reason.' The event marked a rare public victory for a movie the studio tried to erase.
