Dungeons & Dragons plans shrink-wrapped mature expansion with sex and violence

Dungeons & Dragons plans shrink-wrapped mature expansion with sex and violence

Wizards of the Coast is bringing a hard 'M' rating to the table. According to IGN, the upcoming 2027 roadmap for Dungeons & Dragons includes a new mature-rated expansion.

The supplement will reportedly be physically shrink-wrapped, carrying a clear warning on the outside. The packaging is intended to shield minors from the book's internal pages, which are said to contain graphic depictions of violence, bloodshed, nudity, and sexuality.

This marks a significant shift for the family-friendly fantasy brand, aiming content directly at an adult audience.
