Dungeons & Dragons unveils official World of Warcraft and Star Wars crossovers
The rumors were true. Dungeons & Dragons is officially crossing over with Blizzard's World of Warcraft, according to IGN. The new expansion will include every playable species and class from the iconic MMORPG.
In a second big reveal, an official Star Wars expansion for D&D is also in the works. The news comes via the game's Universes Beyond label, which is bringing major franchises to the tabletop.
PC Gamer reports on the double reveal, but voices a common fan concern. Some worry publisher Hasbro is trying to turn the classic TTRPG into something more like its cash-cow trading card game, Magic: The Gathering, with these high-profile crossovers.
