Final Fantasy 14 Evercold Expansion Dated, Zephyr Job Revealed
Square Enix has locked in a launch date for Final Fantasy 14's next expansion. According to a report from Eurogamer, Evercold will arrive on February 23, 2027.
Producer Naoki Yoshida unveiled the expansion's second new combat role, called Zephyr, at the Fan Festival in Tokyo. This damage dealer uses a crossbow in battle and is aided by a bird companion.
Pre-orders for the expansion will begin on November 4. Those who secure a copy early will get a head start on the official launch, plus an experience-boosting earring and a minion pet immediately.
The company also detailed a Collector's Box filled with physical items like a figure and art pieces. A separate digital collector's edition includes a mount, an emote, and a special weapon for the previously revealed Bastion tank job.
During the keynote, Square Enix announced several other updates coming with Evercold. These include a new middle-tier raid difficulty, a fresh trailer for the Evangelion crossover alliance raid, and a new raid series linked to Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Other planned features are an Evolved Combat Mode, a seasonal reward system, and expanded options for character creation and housing.
