Leaked footage hints at a remake of the original Persona game

A new gameplay leak points to Atlus working on a remake of the first Persona title, Revelations: Persona. Polygon reports that around two minutes of video surfaced online, appearing to show an early build of the project.

The clip, detailed by Polygon, features the main character navigating a dungeon set in a school before engaging in a turn-based battle. The footage also includes a cameo from Tatsuya Suou, lead of Persona 2: Innocent Sin. Per the outlet, the video seems designed for an internal presentation and reuses animations from the upcoming Persona 4 Revival.

Push Square also covered the emergence of the alleged footage, noting the difficulty in verifying its authenticity. If genuine, the remake is likely years from release, arriving after both Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6.

The leak continues a trend for the series. As Polygon notes, recent Persona games like Persona 3 Reload and Persona 6 have also seen details spill online ahead of official announcements.
