Final Fantasy XIV On Switch 2 Gets Epic Two-Hour Gameplay Debut

The wait for Final Fantasy XIV on Nintendo's next console is almost over, but fans got a massive sneak peek. Nintendo Life reports that Square Enix has dropped a sprawling gameplay showcase for the MMO's Switch 2 port.

The video, which kicks in after a 13-minute lead-in, runs for over two hours. It offers a comprehensive look at the upcoming version of the long-running online fantasy epic.

The port is officially launching next week, on August 4th, 2026. Square Enix confirmed the date last week, paving the way for Eorzea to go portable on Nintendo's new hardware.
