Game Freak scrambles to fix new action RPG after a mixed launch
Beast of Reincarnation’s launch has been a bit of a dud, and developer Game Freak is already promising a string of fixes. The studio, best known for Pokémon, released its original soulslike action RPG to a divided reception, per Push Square.
Eurogamer reports that Game Freak is vowing to take player feedback "to heart" and will deliver a series of updates for the game. The first patch is already on the way.
According to Rock Paper Shotgun, that initial update will include "story pacing improvements." The outlet notes the game follows a girl and her dog fighting beasts in a post-apocalyptic Japan. These ongoing adjustments are part of what the developer calls "continuous updates" to address the game's rough edges.
