James Bond Game 007 First Light Delayed On Switch 2 Until 2027
IO Interactive has pushed back the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light, per a report from Nintendo Life. The port is now targeting a March 2027 release after being initially slated for summer 2026.
The developer announced the delay via the game's social media channels. It stated the extra months are needed to polish the title's performance on the Switch 2 hardware.
IO Interactive said the decision was made to ensure the game meets player expectations. The statement also noted that a demo version of 007 First Light, which was playable at gamescom, will also be available at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.
The delay means Switch 2 owners will have to wait longer to play this reimagined James Bond origin story. The developer has not provided a specific day in March for the launch.
