Kotaku thinks Liam McIntyre should be the MCU's next Wolverine
Kotaku is floating a suggestion for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s casting woes. With a new wave of X-Men movies on the way, the outlet proposes Insomniac's video game Wolverine voice actor, Liam McIntyre, for the live-action role.
The site notes Hugh Jackman has defined Logan for over two decades, but Marvel is now assembling a fresh team that includes Sadie Sink as Jean Grey and Adam Driver as Mr. Sinister. Per Kotaku, there is no actor yet attached to play Wolverine in this new era.
The article argues McIntyre has already proven himself in the recently released PS5 game, calling his performance "pretty great." It says he brings a gentler, warmer take on the character while still being recognizable as the tortured hero.
Kotaku admits the actor’s 6’1" height isn’t comic-accurate for a "short king" Logan. But the outlet concludes Marvel essentially has a "15-hour audition reel" to review while searching for its next Wolverine.
