Marvel Rivals Update to Slash Install Size by Up to 40GB
Marvel Rivals is about to get a lot less demanding on your hard drive. According to VGC, NetEase's next update will implement a "massive texture compression overhaul" that reduces the game's install size by up to 40 GB on PC.
Eurogamer reports similar relief for console players, with the PS5 and Xbox versions shrinking by roughly 15GB. The developer promises this major slimming down won't come at the cost of visual quality.
In an era where game file sizes only seem to balloon, it's a welcome move for players tired of constantly managing storage space.
