Metroid Ravenous preorders are $10 off at Amazon and Walmart
Retailers are already discounting the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 game Metroid Ravenous. According to IGN, physical preorders at Walmart are currently priced at $59.88, a ten dollar drop from the standard $69.99 MSRP for the physical version.
The report notes that Amazon typically price matches these deals, so the discount should be available there as well. IGN cautions that these preorder-specific prices likely won't stick around after the game's official launch.
Metroid Ravenous is described as a follow-up to Metroid Dread, a new 2D side-scrolling adventure for bounty hunter Samus. The outlet shared a quote from the game's trailer where Samus says, "My chances of getting off this moon are slim at best... Even if I have to feed on my enemies to do so. It's eat or be eaten."
The game is scheduled for an exclusive release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on January 28, 2027. IGN also reported that a new wave of preorders for two accompanying amiibo figures, Samus and a Chozo Statue, has recently gone live at Best Buy.
