New Alien Film in Development With Raised by Wolves Writer

A new Alien movie is on the way, and it's bringing back a familiar creative team. According to The Hollywood Reporter, writer Aaron Guzikowski has been hired to pen a new feature for 20th Century Studios.

Ridley Scott is producing the film alongside Michael Pruss via Scott Free, but he is not currently attached to direct it. No director is involved with the project at this stage.

The outlet reports the new film is not a sequel to 2024's Alien: Romulus. Instead, sources say it connects to the storylines of Scott's earlier films, Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, and will involve the android character played by Michael Fassbender. Fassbender is not officially signed on yet.

Guzikowski previously collaborated with Scott on the HBO Max series Raised by Wolves, which Scott executive produced. The writer is also known for scripting Denis Villeneuve's Prisoners.
