Owlcat Games vows to stick with hardcore RPGs as studio expands to 600 staff

As the studio behind Pathfinder and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader balloons to 600 employees, its leadership is making a promise to the fans. Owlcat Games co-founder says the team will not abandon its roots in complex, hardcore RPGs.

The studio is also gearing up for what's described as its own "Mass Effect killer," according to PC Gamer. The outlet reports the founder expressed confidence in the studio's creative process, stating, "At this point, I think I trust the process."

While details on the new project are scarce, the commitment to deep role-playing mechanics seems locked in.
