Ryan Gosling Suits Up as Marvel's New Ghost Rider
The MCU is getting a new Spirit of Vengeance, and he's bringing some serious star power. Ryan Gosling has officially been cast as the new Ghost Rider, per an announcement from Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige at Comic-Con.
The Hollywood Reporter notes Gosling will star in a standalone Ghost Rider movie, with Shawn Levy attached to direct. This fiery hero is also slated to appear in a future Midnight Suns movie set after the events of Avengers: Doomsday, according to Polygon.
The role marks a major superhero debut for Gosling, who is now locked in to lead one of Marvel's darker, more supernatural franchises.
