Subnautica 2 has sold over 5 million copies in less than a month, according to Eurogamer. Publisher Krafton is calling the game's success the driver of a 'record second quarter performance,' per PC Gamer.
The smash hit comes after a year of legal drama between Krafton and developer Unknown Worlds, which was recently settled with bonuses paid to the studio. Despite the messy backdrop, the underwater survival series is now being groomed for a bigger future.
