The Ascent gets major 5th anniversary update, sequel teased
Just when you thought the neon lights had dimmed, The Ascent is powering back up. IGN reports the cyberpunk shooter is getting a surprise major update to mark its fifth anniversary.
More excitingly, the outlet says the news "sounds like a sequel is on the way." No official announcement has been made, but the tease is enough to get fans of the dystopian twin-stick action excited.
If a follow-up is indeed in the works, it would bring players back to the game's densely packed, corporate-run arcology for more high-octane, top-down chaos.
