Tubi's 'R.L. Stine's Pumpkinhead 2' Trailer Drops with Elvira's Cassandra Peterson
The trailer for the upcoming horror sequel "R.L. Stine's Pumpkinhead 2" is here, setting an October 9 premiere date on Tubi, per The Hollywood Reporter.
The follow-up, directed by Jem Garrard, picks up with kids Sam and Becka as they notice strange events returning to Redhaven. The duo discovers a new wave of cursed, child-like pumpkin-headed monsters rising from the town's ground, seemingly victims of the previous curse. In the trailer, Becka laments, "I would like to go back to when one murderous scarecrow was the problem."
Their investigation leads them to a local sheriff, who reveals he stole a cursed ritual book from a woman named Cassandra. This character is played by Cassandra Peterson, the horror icon best known as Elvira. In the clip, her witch character tells the kids, "I can end the curse. The magic is strongest on the harvest moon."
According to JoBlo, the film is part of Tubi's "Terror on Tubi" Halloween lineup. It will also be the subject of a New York Comic Con panel on October 11 featuring Garrard, Stine, and drag queen Jimbo.
