Wonders of O Trademark Points to Lies of P Sequel
A new trademark filing strongly suggests the title for the sequel to the hit game Lies of P. According to a report from IGN, developer Neowiz has registered the name 'Wonders of O' with the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
The pattern follows the first game, which put a dark Soulslike spin on the Pinocchio tale. The 'O' is widely believed to reference the world of Oz, from L. Frank Baum's classic stories. This theory is backed by a post-credits scene in Lies of P that featured the character Dorothy.
Eurogamer notes that the trademark's listed tags confirm it is for interactive game software. Neowiz is listed as the applicant, all but confirming this is the planned follow-up project.
The sequel was confirmed to be in full development earlier this year. In a recent documentary, director Choi Jiwon asked fans for patience, assuring them the team is working hard to deliver a quality experience.
