Xbox console price hikes hit Europe and UK harder than expected
The price increases for Xbox hardware are now official, and they're steep. In the UK, consoles are now between 34 and 49 percent more expensive than last month, according to Eurogamer.
The Xbox Series X in particular has seen a massive jump, now costing €200 more in Europe, VGC reports. The company had previously warned of an August price hike but had only confirmed the new costs in the US until now.
For gamers, the sudden spike means the new generation just got a lot more expensive overnight.
