People are loving this spooky New England comedy, mostly because it's flat-out hilarious and the cast is fantastic. Matthew Rhys nails it as the ambitious Mayor Tom Loftis, and the chemistry with Kate O'Flynn's Patricia and scene-stealers like Stephen Root is the show's engine. The only real gripe, from a small but vocal group, is the pacing, which some find a bit off. For almost everyone else, the laughs and performances easily outweigh that, making Widow's Bay a charming, original hit.
