Rosamund Pike to Lead Body Horror 'Feed' as Desperate Momfluencer

Rosamund Pike is attached to headline and produce a new body horror film titled 'Feed,' according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project will be directed by Leslye Headland, known for 'Russian Doll' and 'The Acolyte.'

Per the trade, Pike will portray Erin, a mother obsessed with turning her tween gymnast daughter into a famous social media influencer. She discovers a mysterious collagen supplement that seems to deliver results, but her daughter's skyrocketing fame triggers a horrifying physical change.

The screenplay by Daniella Isaacs draws inspiration from the 2022 Finnish movie 'Hatching,' reports JoBlo. Pike's production company Primitive Streak is producing alongside several other firms, with ZQ Entertainment financing the script's development.

In a statement obtained by JoBlo, Pike called the film a chance to explore 'the monstrosity of modern motherhood' and societal obsessions with social media fame. Headland praised the script as 'audacious, disturbing and deeply human.'

Sales for the project are launching at the American Film Market next week, with The Veterans handling international sales and CAA Media Finance overseeing U.S. rights.
